Lori A. Coleman, M.D.

Lori A. Coleman, M.D. attended college at the University of California, San Diego where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biomedical engineering. She then completed medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. This was followed by an internship in San Diego at Mercy Hospital. Dr. Coleman returned to the University of California, San Francisco and completed a residency in radiation oncology.

Dr. Coleman is currently the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, California. She is also the Medical Director of the Breast Center at the Jean McLaughlin Women’s Center at Pomerado Hospital in Poway, California. Dr. Coleman is a partner in X-Ray Medical Group, Radiation Oncology (XRO) and has been with the group since 1998. She is board certified in radiation oncology.


Kelly D. DeWitt, M.D.

Dr. DeWitt received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN graduating cum laude in 1992. After completing her medical degree from East Tennessee State University in 1999 where she was selected as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society she relocated to San Francisco, CA for her Intern year followed by residency at University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. DeWitt joined X-Ray Medical Group Radiation Oncology after completing residency in 2004 and is currently based at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, CA. While she enjoys working with all types of cancer patients, her specialties include breast cancer, lung cancer, and stereotactic radiosurgery. She is board certified in radiation oncology.


Geoffrey Weinstein, M.D.

Dr. Weinstein received his undergraduate degree in 1986 from Wesleyan University. He attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and was awarded his M.D. in 1990. After an internship at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, he returned to Houston for a radiation therapy residency at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center which he completed in 1995. He then joined X-Ray Medical Group Radiation Oncology in San Diego and started his practice at Grossmont Hospital. In 2001 he became Medical Director of radiation therapy services at Sharp Memorial Hospital (SMH). He assisted with the design of the new radiation therapy department at the Outpatient Pavilion at SMH which opened in 2003. While Dr. Weinstein enjoys all facets of radiation oncology, he specializes in prostate cancer (both IMRT and seed implants) and stereotactic radiosurgery.


Barry Uhl, M.D.

Dr. Uhl was born and raised in the Midwest. He attended college at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX receiving a B.A. in Biology. He returned home to the University of Nebraska School of Medicine for his medical degree, where he was also able to continue his oncology research at the Eppley Cancer Center and the Omaha V.A. Medical Center. Upon completion of medical school, he finished an intern year of Internal Medicine at UNMC. This was followed by a residency in Radiation Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. At Baylor he was named Chief Resident his final year. Upon completion of his residency he joined X-Ray Medical Group Radiation Oncology in San Diego,CA. He is the current Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Sharp Grossmont Hospital and the Donna and David Long Center for Cancer Treatment. He is also a member of the Board of Governors for the Grossmont Hospital Foundation. While Dr. Uhl treats all manner of patients and cancer diagnoses, he specifically does research and speaking engagements regarding the use of Tomotherapy for Prostate Cancer, Head and Neck Cancer, and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy.


P. Brian Volpp, M.D., MPH

P. Brian Volpp MD MPH at Xray Radiation Oncology california P. Brian Volpp, MD, MPH completed undergraduate work at Princeton University where he graduated cum laude with a degree in history and a certificate in American Studies. He then pursued a dual MD/MPH program, studying medicine in his adopted home state of Nevada and public health administration at Loma Linda University, where he was selected to the Delta Omega Honor Society. He did his residency in los Angeles, first in preliminary medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center followed by radiation oncology training at Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Volpp is currently an associate with XRO and primarily practices at Sharp Memorial Medical Center in San Diego.

He has published research on spinal cord tumors and prostate cancer. Special interests include integrative and complementary cancer medicine as well as palliative care/pain management. Dr. Volpp is board certified in both radiation oncology and integrative medicine.


Phillip G. Zentner, M.D.

Phillip G. Zentner, MD graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1990. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in 1994. His medical interest include the treatment of head and neck cancers with IMRT as well as the treatment of breast, lung, rectal, and prostate cancer. He is currently the president of XRO and is working to develop an extracranial stereotactic radiosurgery program at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center.
